Have you ever had a project where you just can't seem to count no matter how hard you try? Well, this is the case with my Dutch Beauty sampler (shown on the back of the loveseat where I usually stitch).

The "frogging" got so bad, that I recently bought the cutest stuffed frog who I named Freida. (She is shown on the arm of the love seat.) My hope is that if there is a frog situated in the room, it will stay out of my stitching.

Here is a close-up of Freida before she got moved--she kept jumping off the loveseat arm.

Poor Freida has now been moved across the room where we can keep an eye on each other. Doesn't she look comfortable in the rocking chair?

(I know Tom thinks I'm nuts, but I figure little Haiden will enjoy Freida when he comes for a visit. Right?)

If anyone is not familiar with the term "frogging", it refers to ripping out stitches--rip it, rip it, rip it!

Hi Ellen, here I am back in Ohio when I discovered you now have a blog - YEAH!! I am back once again for nephew's graduation for Kent State with his Masters. Once again I am unable to find the time for a quick trip to visit. Will be driving through Cincinnati on Wednesday on our way home.

I still have DB sitting in my kitchen and hope to get back to her when I return home and get back into my routine. Hope you will not be 'frogging' anymore - but I do love Freida and I think it may be a good idea to have a frog sitting near you to help not make mistakes ;o)))!!!

Take care - Roberta

Hi Ellen,

I just found your blog! I saw a mention on the Needleprint blog that directed me here. I've enjoyed reading what you've posted so far. The Dutch Beauty looks good. Hope to see you at stitch-in on Wednesday.

Wish I'd thought of getting a frog to control the frogging when I had a couple of impossible pieces! Man, some times I've had to frog so much that I worry the linen will give out!

Welcome to blogging! Cynthia and I have started one for Arachne -- you can find it at our website - www.arachnessilkenweb.com.
