Eliza's Pyn Pillow (a complimentary design) by Carol

Carol R. of Kent in Great Britain recently stitched Eliza's Pyn Pillow as a gift for her friend Valie.

Carol stitched the project on 32-count raw linen using Creme Au Ver A Soie thread and a "splash of red" (her words) for the "V" which is Valie's first initial. Carol backed her pyn pillow with the same linen she used on the front and stitched the year in the center. The pins she used are Clover applique pins. She painted one tiny pin with red nail polish to complement the red "V" . Isn't that a clever idea?

Carol wrote that she enjoyed this design so much that she has stitched it at least 6 times.

You can find the chart for this complimentary design at my website.

Hi Ellen,
Carol is just so talented and her stitching and finishing are absolutely gorgeous. Hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as Carol enjoyed stitching it.
