and still a few more photos from Nashville

I'm glad so many of you are enjoying my photos from Nashville. I tried to get photos of as many of my automatic shop owners as possible, but I'm afraid I missed a few...perhaps next year I can get them.

I got home last night with the goal of just unloading my models and leaving the rest of the stuff in the rental van until the morning. However, I returned home to a dead car battery which meant it was impossible to unload the van in the garage so we had to unload in the driveway. Now almost everything is stacked in boxes in my family room. (The tables and grids are still in the garage.) I have quite a task ahead of me this week.

Here are a few more Nashville photos. These are of some of my designer friends on the 4th floor.

Here I am with my dear friend, Giulia (Giulia Punti Antichi). Giulia is an incredible person....she produces such wonderful designs and at the same time is a doctor. I wish I had thought to take the photo in her room, and not in mine, so that I could show you some of her incredible designs. (Keep your fingers crossed that Giulia can soon get back to Italy. She learned yesterday morning that her airline is on strike.)
Here are Susan and Pam (Praiseworthy Stitches), aka "The Pink Ladies", in their room. These two are always as happy and cheerful as they appear in this photo. I first met them several years ago when I was intrigued because of the name of their sampler, Cincinnati Flower. This year I was particularly drawn to Emiliana's Sewing Case.
Next is Clara (The Stitching Parlor). You can see some of her lovely samplers in the background. She is obviously a big Jane Austen fan. I wish you could have seen the etui she made to fit in a paper mache Easter egg...so creative. I should have taken a photo of it.Louise (Cherished Stitches) and I have been friends for a very long time. On the table you can see two of her new releases, a birth sampler and a limited edition tin. In the background is her model of A Petit Sampling Etui. This is the limited edition project that we did last year with Pam, Susan, and Clara. We have a few charts left, and when they are gone, they are gone forever.
Next is Sandie (The Sweetheart Tree) with me in my room. Sandie needs no introduction. She has been doing such lovely and delicate designs for around 25 years. And last but not least is Niky from Italy. Niky flies over each year with Candy (The Workbasket) so she can help Candy and Mary in their room. Niky is now designing herself. Her designs were at a show in France, and not in Nashville.Well, I'm going to make myself a cup of tea. Giulia gave me some wonderful smelling tea...Earl Grey De La Creme. It smells as wonderful as it sounds. Then I need to get busy unpacking and also filling a few backorders.

Ellen, thanks for the lovely photo with you. I'm still in Nashville, probably leaving tomorrow as scheduled since the strike seems to be over. I'm here resting and reading and enjoying the olimpic winter games. It was a real pleasure for me and Mario, my husband, to meet so many friends and lovely designers.
I'll miss all of you when I am in Italy.
A big hug to you and your special husband.
I'm happy you like my favorite tea.........
your friend, Giulia

So glad to see Louise out of her cast! Hope she's doing well and that you've recovered from the surprise of the dead battery.
