While I'm waiting, I've been working on designs for some of the items which will be in Mrs. Waddelow's basket. One design is charted, and I've just started stitching on it...so much fun! The other ideas are still in my head.
Oh--Mr. UPS man, where are you???
Edited at 6:48pm -- Well shortly after I posted my note, the "man in brown" arrived. I was standing outside which prompted him to ask if I was expecting something.
I hurriedly opened the box. The baskets were as wonderful as I had hoped! I love the warm antiqued look--perfect for Mrs. Waddelow, don't you think?
I've narrowed down my choice to these two baskets. Decisions, decisions...do I go with the large one or the smaller one? I put a chart in the larger one to give you some perspective of the size.
The plan is to line the basket. The directions will be written so you'll be able to adapt the lining to fit your particular basket...but which basket do I want for my model??
Oh--I'm so excited!!! Hope I can settle down enough to stitch on the first of the items that will go in the basket.

Hurry, Mr. UPS man! We want to see! :D
Yes, we do want to see! Ellen, check out my blog for my UPS story this week - those watched packages just never get delivered, do they?
Oooohhh, Can't wait to see Mrs W's treasures:))
Chrissie
Oh, those baskets are beautiful. I think I would opt for the smaller of the two.
I like the smaller of the two.
I just bought Mrs. Waddelow's Huswif and am anxious to start it. Made a promise to finish up some WIP's first! Drat! Will be following to see which you choose and how you finish!
I would love to see the larger one so I could use it to carry what I am working on to my stitching group. I have been looking for a larger size basket that would accommodate all my stuff, pattern and fabric including and a hoop to work with. Just my humble opinion. They are lovely baskets.
Just from a displaying perspective, I would prefer the smaller basket as I already have two basket projects and I only live in a tiny cottage :o))
Lovely Basket's Ellen, I have to make your project now because I cannot resist baskets LOL.
Baskets, baskets....nothing finer~~~ Love them~ Faye
I like the smaller basket as well
But I must admit I don't think you could possibly go wrong
Mrs. W is my favorite pattern from this years market. This project is a lot of finishing which I normally don't do myself. I will have to con my mom into finishing this for me. I have the pattern so my next step is to find the perfect fabic. It is exciting that you are adding to this piece.
Thnaks everyone for your comments....sure appreciate them!
Hey Ellen, Love Mrs. W and picked up the pattern while away at a recent retreat...want to start - NOW! but still want to finish the Huswife you taught last year here in Brighton, MI...what to do! I am excited to see the smalls/accessories you design to go with Mrs. W...looks like the Easter basket was a hit! Keep stitching! Sherry
