A beautiful Needleworker's Sampler Huswif from Cheryl

Several months ago I showed you some of Cheryl S.'s beautiful needlework. Here is another example of her work, A Needleworker's Sampler Huswif. Cheryl took this class with her local guild, The Mayflower Sampler Guild, in Massachusetts. You can see other examples of Cheryl's lovely work by typing her name in the google search engine in the left sidebar of this page.

This project has 27 different stitches and when completed can be either framed or made into a huswif as Cheryl did. In class everyone works on the needlebook which has the majority of the stitches needed to complete the sampler huswif.

The first photo shows the outside of Cheryl's huswif opened up so you can see the embroidery.Next is the inside of her huswif. I don't know if you can tell or not that there is an embroidered pocket at the bottom and a pleated dupioni silk one above the first pocket. A luscious overdyed silk ribbon holds Cheryl's small needlework tools in place.
Cheryl, thank you very much for sharing your beautiful needlework. I hope the next time I'm in your "neck of the woods" I can see all of your projects in person! I certainly would love that.

A Needleworker's Sampler Huswif is one of most popular classes. It is next scheduled to be taught in May at Fobbles http://www.fobbles.co.uk/1.html in Cumbria (UK).
