Hi everyone. This is a note from Tom.
Ellen asked me to update her blog today because it's been a week since her last entry. She started physical therapy this week and is making some progress with her back, but using the computer makes her back hurt. She's only done about ten minutes of computing in the last six days, so you have to settle for me until she's better. Hopefully she'll be punching the keys again in a few more days. (She still stitching!)
Ellen told me she has lots of new things to share with you: Quaker Turtles from Margit in Germany, Bunnies in the Garden from Bertie in England, and a collection of Ackworth Friendship Books from a group of internet stitching friends. I offered to put a blog entry together on the turtles, but Ellen said she'd rather wait and write about them herself. I think she has special feelings about hearing from her friends and getting photos of your work.
Feel free to leave comments on the blog because Ellen can read them on her Blackberry, and she really enjoys hearing from you.

I do hope your back is feeling better soon. Ouch but back problems have to be the worst. I am glad you can stitch though. Something to help with the stress. :)
Take care and feel better soon.
Thanks, Tom, for keeping us up to date.
Ellen, don't rush to get back to us. We can wait until it doesn't cause us pain - although we'll miss your lovely photographic updates.
You helped me so much with your cataract updates, as my husband had both eyes "done" while you were telling us about your experiences with that. (Again, thanks to Tom). I would never have thought to get my DH readers to get through the in-between time had you not talked about it, so you helped us a lot.
Now take care of yourself, and enjoy whatever stitching time your back allows you to have!
Oops - we can wait until computer time doesn't cause YOU pain, lol.
Ellen, I hope you are feeling better soon. PT is hard work but it helps so much. Hopefully you can do some stitching :)
Chris
Ellen, Take care and hope you will be much better soon. I've done lots of stitching this summer because my husband is out of commission with knee problems. PT may not be fun but it does help. Take care!
Ellen, hope your back begins to feel better. I'll look forward to the show and tell when you return. I enjoy seeing others' projects even though I don't comment much. Be sure to get lots of rest!
Thank you, Tom, for updating us on Ellen's condition. I've been wondering how she was doing. Ellen, I hope you're feeling better really soon! Tom is a keeper, I can tell! :D
Wishing you a speedy recovery Ellen, and hope you will be up and running soon. Thanks to Tom for the update.
Hugs
Thanks for the update Tom. Ellen, you've had such a difficult Summer. I'm sending positive and healing thoughts your way for a speedy recovery.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses reading your almost daily blog updates.
Ellen, I really hope you feel heaps better soon. I know that PT is really hard but you can do it girl. Just don't come back on here too soon or you will be in big trouble. Thanks a lot Tom for posting on the blog.
Lots of Love & Hugs

Tom, you fall into the 'what-a-guy!!' category!
How nice of you to keep us informed about Ellen.
Ellen, you are one lucky gal!
Take care and do what the doctor says! We will
look forward to the day when you feel better and
can blog again.
My prayers are with you both....
Thanks for the update Tom, hope you are feeling better soon Ellen. I have seen Bertie's Bunnies on her blog and it has made me want to pull out my chart and get stitching, but then almost everything I see makes me want to start something new.
Ellen so sorry to hear about your back I hope it gets better soon, I look forward to seeing your Bunnies in the Garden - I have that chart along with a lot of more of your charts, I will get around to stitching them one day. Take care Moreen.
Hi Ellen and Tom - I have been thinking of you all week - just knowing things must not be that great since you've not been visiting in blog land. thanks Tom for updating us - ellen I hope you will get better soon - thankful you can still stitch in comfort - just leave off the PC work until you are much better. Hugs from Jacksonville - Mel
Hi Ellen-and Tom, hang in there with the PT(you know it stands for Pain & Torture) undergoing it myself at the moment-have shiny new knee, so I understand your pain very well!! Thanks Tom for keeping us updated on Ellen.
Thanks for posting Tom! Please tell Ellen we wish her well with her back! Sometimes time is the only answer!
Connie
Thanks for keeping us updated, Tom. Let Ellen know we're praying for a easy recovery. At least she can still stitch (what a blessing)!
Hugs, Barb
Thanks for the update. I hope she is better soon.
Hi Ellen! Best of luck with your physical therapy, and I hope you feel better soon! I'm so glad to hear that you can still stitch. What would we do without that? Have a nice weekend!
Ellen, sorry to her about your back problems. Take care and don't try to rush the healing process. Back pain takes awhile to get resolved. We look forward to seeing some pics.....because that means you will be better!
Ellen, There is nothing worse than pain in the back. Sometimes I think it just goes with the territory, when we love to stitch as much as we do, use the computer for all the research, we probably all sit way too much. I sure hope you are up to your old self again very soon. Tom, thank you for keeping us all posted.
