Garrett's older cousin, Haiden, certainly had a great summer as evidenced by these photos.

"Super-Haiden"
Several of you mentioned how tall it appears that Garrett might be some day. My husband is 6 feet tall and our son, Stephen, is nearly that tall. (Stephen thinks he's taller than Tom, but he's not.) On the other hand I'm only 5 feet, 1/2 inch.
When you are short, that 1/2 inch does matter. (Tall people don't understand.) When Tom was filling out some of my many doctor forms, he wrote down my height as only "5 feet", although I told him I was "5 feet, 1/2 inch". When he left the room, I added that 1/2 inch. It may not be important to him, but it is to me.
My mother and both of my grandmothers were only 4 feet, 11 inches in their heyday. In later years, they all lost quite a bit of height. You can bet that I make sure to take a calcium pill each day. So far, I haven't lost any height!

From someone else that has to have a stool to reach the top shelf I must say that you are right. Of course I am 5'2"........ and I count every 14 inch.
Haiden is so cute! I so agree with you about the height thing. I'm 5'2" too, like Susan. I'd love to be taller! lol!
My 21 year old daughter measures 3'11 3/4" most of the time but can stretch it to 4' with better posture. You'd be surprised how many times she's questioned about her height at amusement parks while visibly (significantly) shorter young children are allowed to get on rides with a 48" height requirement without ever being stopped or checked. (Hello, California Screamin' operators!) It's very frustrating, especially since she already stands out in a crowd because she's a Little Person, to have further attention drawn to her by being singled out for a height check.
I'm 5 feet and 3/4 inches and every 1/4 inch counts!!!
Cute kid!!
What a cutie!
Height in a family can really vary. My husband is 6'4", and I am 5'6". Our oldest daughter is 5'10", the middle 5'9", and the youngest is 5'3"!
