OOPS!! I goofed!

I've found that I'm not very good with SALs. I do much better sticking to one project at a time so I've been dedicating my stitching time to I Sigh Not For Beauty from C Street Samplerworks. What a gorgeous sampler this is and so much fun to stitch!

I'm using 36-count Pecan Butter from Lakeside Linens and DMC thread. For the most part, I've stitched the piece as charted. DMC738 didn't show up very well on my linen so I've replaced it with other colors everywhere except on the sawtooth border. I've made a few other very minor changes. All that I have left to do are the satin stitches for the acorns, grass, and sawtooth border.
But OOPS!!! I really goofed.  I accidentally used DMC500 for the over one text instead of DMC3021.  Of course, there is NO way that I would ever rip out all of that over one.  Would you?  Besides I've decided I really like the way the verse stands out with the dark green thread. Now I'm debating if I should rip out and restitch the lower case alphabet (above the verse) also in DMC500 or leave it in as it now is with the DMC3021.

I'd leave it as it is. I also like how the verse stands out, and if you stitch that alphabet in the same color it won't stand out as much.

I agree with Marybeth...it looks very good the way it is, and the verse wouldn't stand out like that. And I am a firm believer in not ripping out!!! It's Beautiful Ellen!

It's beautiful Ellen...I wouldn't change a thing! The lower case alpha looks nice in the lighter color. It makes the verse pop!

I'd leave it as is. I like the way the green makes the verse stand out. The lower case in the brown makes it feel part of the upper case alpahbet. Can't wait to see it with it's "sisters." :o)

I would also leave it as it is. It looks lovely and it was fate and meant to be. - Sandra.

Well, I see that I agree with everyone else. It looks just beautiful. You put your name on it so it should be a bit different and unique to you.

It's perfect as it is Ellen so please do not alter it in any way. I snapped a linen thread once trying to unpick some over one stitches so it's not something I would ever do again.

Your sampler is so beautiful Ellen! I definitely would not rip out the verse, and I would leave the alphabet the way it is too. It's lovely just as it is!

I say leave it alone. That's what makes your unique and you will be the only one who knew what you did.

You already know what I think, Ellen--leave it just the way it is! The verse looks just great in green. If you hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have even noticed.
