A couple of weeks ago our son and daughter-in-law asked us if we'd like to visit them and watch Garrett on Friday while they were at work. Now how could we say "no" to a face like this? Although I didn't let on to anyone, I was a bit apprehensive about taking care of a 7-month old for the entire day. After all, it had been 33 years since we had taken care of a 7-month old for the day. Garrett is such a good baby that my apprehension was soon laid to rest.
It rained all day so we were "stuck" inside, but we found plenty to do. Garrett was particulary fond of the talking dog we took him, his grandfather's cell phone, and playing on the floor. The weather was beautiful yesterday, so Tom and I took Garrett for a walk while his parents ran an errand. I don't know who enjoyed the spring time walk more--Garrett or us.
Right before we left to come home yesterday, I pulled an Easter basket off the kitchen counter to see what he would do with it.
It certainly is amazing how much our little one has changed since we last saw him in March.

It looks like we're in for a rainy Easter Sunday here in Cincinnati. With all the rain we've had this April those May flowers should be as tall as the rooftops.
I need to run and get ready for church. I hope you have a joyous Eastertide.
