Framed at last!!

It has been a long time coming, but here at last is my framed I Sigh Not for Beauty.  This beautiful sampler was designed by Fran of C Street Samplers. I love it!

Now to figure out where to hang it...my walls are becoming very full.  (I never thought that I would say that.)  There are already at least 27 samplers in my family room so I'm going to have to play around with things.  I think the last time I hung a sampler it took well over an hour because I had to move several around to get the new one to fit.

What a state we are in today! Our wood kitchen floor is being sanded, stained, and sealed.    I'm not sure what I've been dreading most--the noise and disruption or getting things back in order afterwards.

The workers have been hard at work for nearly three hours already, and I still hear the loud machines at work.  It's rather hard to concentrate think.  It will be 4 days until we can go back in the kitchen, so things may get interesting around here.  At least we were able to bring our coffee pot and two mugs upstairs.

Beautiful Sampler!!!

Hard wood floors are the best, I won't go back to carpet. The pain of the redoing of the floor will be worth it.

I am trying to convince my husband to refinish the hardwood floors under the carpet in the living room...no luck yet! Your sampler is beautiful - I would love to see a picture of your sampler walls.

Your sampler looks lovely framed. And I'm pretty sure you'll fine a great place for it to hang and shine.
Good luck with your kitchen :)

Hi Ellen, Your sampler is just beautiful! I do feel your pain. We just had floors put in our family room which is adjacent to the kitchen. They had to sand and refinish the kitchen floors so they would match the new floors. After all was done it took us about a week to get the house back in order. The good news is-it was well worth all the trouble!

Hi Ellen - your sampler is beautiful! It looks like you stitched yours in the DMC colors as well? I am about 2/3 done, and need to get back on it! Great frame too!

Beautiful finish!

I think the dust from the sanding would bother me more than anything else. But I'm sure the floors will be beautiful when they are done!

Ellen, your sampler is absolutely beautiful. Just had hardwood floors layed in my sewing room and I know the pain of moving everything and getting back in place.

THis has turned out beautifully. I think that the frame really helped to showcase the piece. Good luck with rearranging. I know that can be very time consuming!
