To market, to market to buy.....

At the beginning of our trip we saw lots of wonderful markets everywhere we went. I think my photos tell it best, although somehow I neglected to get any photos of the cheese stands.  Shame on me--we had even bought some cheese to enjoy while over there.

And then there were the shops.  I think you could gain 5 pounds by just inhaling the smells from the bakeries and chocolate shops.

And how could I resist taking photos of these chocolate "works of art"?

And I guess most needleworkers would even welcome these frogs as long as they stayed away from your stitching, right?

Oh fun! I love seeing all the various shops and markets you saw! Yum on the chocolate and cheese! Chocolate frogs are fine away from the stitching, like you said. :D

I think I'd better do some serious dieting before I go to France. That is if I ever have that opportunity.I especially loved seeing the flower stalls in the markets.

Your vacation looks divine!! Love how in Europe they still have separate shops for meat, veggies, and bread...oh, and those desserts!!

Also enjoyed the stitchery at that royal residence; the closest I've been is in Het Loo in Holland for the Dutch Royals...who could have ever imagined anyone living like that with all that richness??

Amazing!!

I could go for a chocolate frog! I love seeing the markets and how different they are from what we see here.
