We spent the last day of our trip in Salt Lake City, Utah. Among a few other sites, we visited the Bee Hive House, the former home of Brigham Young. I was thrilled that they allowed photos in the house. Some of the furnishings belonged to BrighamYoung, but others were "of the period".
It probably is no surprise that my focus was on the needlework in the home.
There were two samplers, but no information about either one.
Here is a snippet of the beautiful floral carpet in one of the rooms.

Thanks for sharing these photos. I'll be in SLC in two weeks but probably won't have time to visit the beehive house myself.

Wow! I loved seeing all of this, Ellen! I read a novel not so long ago set in the Beehive House. To see it for real is amazing! And all the needlework items, and that beehive stair post! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
