Thank you for all the notes and blog comments about my last posting showing some of the samplers in our family room. I have put Snooty Parrots aside for a while to work on my new teaching project, Kindred Spirits.
I have been stitching up a storm on this new project. I've stitched the three bands that will go inside the tiger-maple divided carrier. There are three bands, one long and two short because there are three divisions in this beautiful carrier. I'm now working on the needleroll. There will be at least two more "goodies" to go in the carrier. I'll take some photos once I have more to show.
Many of you have told me in the past how much you enjoy seeing family photos occasionally. It's been a while since I've shown any, so I thought I'd show you some we took on Mother's Day last Sunday.
Our daughter invited us up to her home in Columbus for a picnic lunch in her backyard. After that the "boys" played baseball in the backyard. Then it was off to the school playground which is across the street. (How convenient is that?) We were loaded down with baseball things, scooters, and Garrett's tricycle.

Then it was off to Graeter's (a short walk from our daughter's home) for ice cream.

A fun time was had by all! This was the first time in about 20 years that I've been able to spend Mother's Day with both my children! I loved it and hope we can do it again! Our daughter Carolyn and daughter-in-law Michelle were so sweet to share their Mother's Day with me. Thank you!

Just wonderful photos of your family. The boys seem to get cuter with each photo if that is possible! How wonderful that you could all be together.
