A group of needleworkers stitched, Eliza’s Pyn Pillow as part of the January 2008 monthly challenge from Jayne’s Attic in England. This design is complimentary and is available at my website. Go there and print off the directions.

On the right is my model. Four members of the Jayne’s Attic group sent me photos of their versions. Thank you, ladies, for sharing your finished projects. You all are very inspiring with your creativity!

Angi M from Peterborough, England wrote, “This is my pinkeep of Eliza's Pyn Pillow. I was very pleased
with it as it was my first challenge piece & also my first pinkeep. I made the pins myself as well. Thanks for the lovely designs. I love to see the finished results too - that's what makes me want to stitch all these great designs.”

Carol Draper from Plymouth, England turned the design into a lovely mattress-style pinkeep. Carol wrote, “I substituted the listed silks for Gentle Art Sampler Threads and Weeks Dye Works.”

Julie Sibson also made a pinkeep. Hers has little tassels at the corners. Julie wrote, “It was such a lovely project to stitch, and there were such wonderful finishes.”

Christine Wilkins from Cornwall, England turned her design into a sweet little basket. Christine has a tutorial for making the basket at her blog.

You can see photos of other items using the design here. Maybe this will get your creative juices flowing. Please send me photos if you stitch this sweet little piece. I’d love to see how you decide to finish it. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone for the kind words about the blog. I am still on a learning curve.

Carol, your pyn pillow looks great! If you will send me a photo, I can post it in the blog for all to see. The specs are in the side bar.
