What I've Been Working On

After working hard on getting some models stitched and the directions nearly finished, I decided to take some time off and work on My Lady's Quaker from Jardin Prive, a French company. It was a fun stitch and didn't take very long. You might notice that I made some changes--some accidental and some on purpose. One of the biggest changes was that I left off the alphabet at the bottom and replaced "ABC" on the left side with my initials.

I'm now ready to start work on Quaker Samplings III. As a tease, here is the linen and the silk thread I've chosen. Sorry that you can't tell from my photo that the thread is red (Cranberry), definitely a change from the blue I used on Quaker Samplings I and II.

Oh I love the colors you used on My Lady's Quaker! And I love the colors for your new Quaker Samplings too!

My Lady's Quaker is gorgeous and I like it better without the alphabet. I think I'll do the same with mine and put my initials in the ABC spot! Great idea :)

My Lady's Quaker reminds me of your designs, I bet you liked the blue birds.

Sandra,

You know me and blue birds.

I noticed that the two birds were not symmetrical so I changed mine so they were alike. I also added a few stitches to the back of their heads in order to get a more rounded appearance.

Beautiful finish of My Lady's Quaker - the more I see of this design, the more it urges me to stitch it! I love your choice of threads.

Looking forward to seeing QS III - nice thread choice :) 'Tis my favourite colour for sampler behind blue :)
