Sandra makes a special sampler to celebrate her parents' 60th wedding anniversary!

Sandra C. from Yorkshire recently completed An Emblem of Love to commemorate her parents' 60th wedding anniversary. Isn't that a lovely idea?

Sandra wrote, I stitched "An Emblem of Love" for my parents who celebrate their Diamond (60th) Wedding Anniversary at the end of July. I chose to stitch this on 32 count Mushroom Lugana with Threadworx 'Pottery'. The close up photo shows the area in the bottom right hand corner where I made a few changes to the design so that I could fit in the year of their marriage.

I'm having a small garden party to celebrate the occasion, so please wish us luck with the very temperamental British weather. Happy anniversary, Barbara and George!! I'm sure you were greatly touched by your daughter's gift to celebrate the big occasion. I hope you enjoy your party. Maybe Sandra will take a photo of the two of you holding her loving gift.

If Sandra's name sounds familiar, it's because over the past few months I've shown quite a few examples of her beautiful needlework. Just type "Sandra C" in the google search engine in the left sidebar. Thanks, Sandra, for sharing!!

Her parents will love her gift. Congrats to the young married couple. Yes, I said it that way. For they may have been married for 60 years,,but they are still young in love! Thanks for sharing her work with everyone.

What a lovely way to celebrate your parent's anniversary. My beloved and I were married in the same year, 1950. It was a great year and I'm certain your parents will love their gift. JoAnn
