How blue is blue?

Here is Garrett all ready for his first car ride (home from the hospital). He certainly looks alert and ready to go.

Can you believe Garrett's deep blue eyes? Wow!! This photo was taken yesterday when he was 13 days old. We still haven't been able to go to meet him in person, but are most hopeful that it won't be much longer. Car riding is still very hard on my back.

Last night we were able to Skype with Stephen, Michelle, and Garrett. (Well, Garrett slept most of the time.) Stephen told us that Garrett's feet are so large that the hospital had trouble trying to fit them in the space on his birth record. (He was 23 inches long at birth!) He also has long feet and hands.

That is so funny about his feet! We had the same problem with our son. He was just shy of 8 pounds, and was 23 inches long. I couldn't believe how big he was when they showed him to me for the first time! And his feet and hands were HUGE!
Garrett is such a pretty baby. :) I do hope you feel better soon so you can snuggle on him!

23 inches long? I had to convert that to cm and just about fell of my chair! He's going to be a tall one!

Enjoy your first cuddle with him!
