First an earthquake, then a hurricane--what's next?

What a week those on the east coast had with first an earthquake and then within a matter of days Hurricance Irene!!  I've been seeing lots of photos not only on the news but also photos taken by friends and relatives.  I hope that if you were one of those who suffered damage that your life will soon be back to normal.

Last week, I finally hung up my I Sigh Not For Beauty sampler that I showed you earlier. I think I got it hung in record time--only did a wee bit of rearranging.  The most notable part of the move was moving Amy Eliza Herbert into my downstairs bathroom and hanging I Sigh Not For Beauty in her place in the family room.  I also moved an old Darlene O'Steen sampler from a hallway into my family room.  Here is one of the sampler walls in my family room.  This view is above the sofa.  I'm sorry that the photograph is not better.  I have a friend who says she is not a photographer, but rather a picture taker.  That sounds like me too.

You samplers and sampler wall look great! I was able to click the photo for a closer look then I had to be careful not to drool on the screen.

The wall is beautiful. I, too, did the click thing to get a closer look. Can you tell us the name of the samplers? What a cool thing to sit and look at while hanging in your family room!

Your sampler wall is just beautiful, Ellen. But... would you tell us from left to right what the name of each of them are? I recognize several of them but not all.

Beautiful wall, Ellen--my samplers march up the stairs--this makes me want to take all the artwork in the living room down and replace them with my samplers.

Ellen, love your sampler wall.

You know I see the Newburyport sampler there and it makes me more detemined to get my chart out and stitch it! It's one I have always loved. I wish now I would have done the SAL years ago. I'll keep looking at yours and it will inspire me to get started after I finish Frances Burwell.

I also always wanted to do Maggie Gibson which I see...

Thanks for the picture.

Thank you for sharing Ellen.

Sadly if I want to buy a Quaker kit, I have to import it myself as they are not readily available in stores here as not many people want them.
