The first three photos are of some of the wonderful flowers I saw while in California.
The following photos are of a beautiful embroidered chasuble at the Mission of Santa Barbara. The last three photos are enlargements of some of the embroidery. Unfortunately, there was no information included with the chasuble as to its date and the materials used.
When I called to get permission to post my photos on my blog, I was told that they have an extensive collection of vestments that one can arrange to see. Hmm--perhaps on another trip....
