Seeing the "real" Florida

When we were in Florida in December visiting our families, Tom and I went to Blue Springs near Orlando.  (You may remember seeing photos of lots of manatees.)  In December, I suggested that on our next trip to Orlando that we go back to Blue Springs and do the boat trip along the St. John's River.

The boat trip was wonderful with lots of wildlife.  Here are some photos of what Tom calls the "real Florida".
Can you spot the baby alligators?
Because the temperature was warm, there were only 3 manatees at Blue Springs in March versus over 200 in December.

If you're ever in the area, check out Blue Springs.  I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

SOOOO glad to see that you made it back to Blue Springs for the boat tour. That is a real gem of a state park. It truly is one of the best ways to catch a glimpse of the "real" Florida. Looks like you had a wonderful day with lots of viewing! Thanks for the reminder of how wonderful it is there.
