Happy Mother's Day!

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over.
(George Cooper )

Most countries have set aside a day to honor Mothers, and the date varies by country.  We celebrate Mother's Day in the US today.  It is always on the second Sunday in May.

My mother died nearly six years ago, so Mother's Day is a bittersweet day for me.

If flowers grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.

Well my mother died in August of 2010 and today was a sad day for me. I was certainly quite gloomy but I have to say the poem made me cry (and also, my Mom was a very good embroiderer). But, that's a good thing because I got my sadness out. So I thank you!
