Two Wonderful Class Projects!

Recently I received photos from Ria and Marilyn who were both in classes earlier this year.  Ria attended classes in San Francisco with the Bay Area Sampler Guild, and Marilyn was in classes in Chicago with the Lake Michigan Sampler Guild.  (Marilyn was also in a class a couple of weeks ago in LaPorte, Indiana at the House of Stitches retreat.)

Both Ria and Marilyn have been very busy.  Ria's project is nearly completed, and Marilyn's is completely finished.  I am very impressed!

First is Ria's adaptation of my Fruit of the Vine Sampler Huswif.  Having seen some of Ria's lovely needlework before, I wasn't at all surprised when she decided to make changes to my design in order to create a special 35th wedding anniversary sampler. Ria still has the many bunches grapes to add to the vine. Hopefully, she'll send me some more photos once she adds them.

Here is Ria's version.

And here is my version.

I love it when needleworkers take a design and make changes to personalize it!  Ria, you did an incredible job with this project!

The next photos are of Marilyn's completed A Lady's Worke Box.  Marilyn had brought the assembled accessories with her to the class in LaPorte earlier this month, and I showed you a photo then.  Here is another photo of the accessories and also one of the box.  Marilyn, I don't see how you do what you do with working full-time.  you must have turbo needles.

Here is wishing everyone a great weekend!  We will have our 3-year old grandson, Garrett, with us tomorrow while his parents go back to Fort Wayne to supervise the loading of their moving van.  Garrett will arrive here at 6am!!  It's a good thing I'm a morning person.  I know we will have a great time, but we'll probably be pretty worn out trying to keep up with a 3-year old!

Wow, I really love what Ria did with Fruit of the Vine! Beautiful! Love Marilyn's finish as well. Have fun with Garrett! Hope he doesn't tire you out too much. Good luck to your son and his wife on the move too.

Lovely work! Yes, you will have a wonderful day and you will be exhausted! We spent 5 days with our grandson for his spring break last year. It was wonderful and exhausting!

Love what these stitchers have done with your designs. Enjoy your grandson as they grow up so fast.
