Canadian Beauty

Tom and I were lucky enough to spend some time in the Canadian Rockies earlier this summer. We had heard how beautiful they are, but seeing them in person is unbelievable! Words cannot describe the beauty! The colors you see in my photos are the true ones--they have not been photo-shopped.

The next photos were taken at the Columbia Icefield.

I got the idea from another needleworker to do some stitching on the glacier. So here I am in four layers of clothing and wool socks putting in a few stitches on Lizzie A. Rees (Handwork Samplers).

And here we are on our last evening. We hated to say good-bye to this beautiful part of the world, but we have exciting times ahead with the arrival of our twin granddaughters.

Tomorrow is the day!! Tomorrow morning our daughter-in-law Michelle will deliver the girls by C-section. We are all very excited! I have their birth samplers all stitched except for the girls' names .... Michelle and Stephen are still trying to decide on them.

The photos are beautiful. It is true that there's not much you need to do to pretty up nature's own beauty. You still did great though getting those nice shots!

Stitching on a glacier! You can cross that one of your 'bucket' list!

How exciting that you will welcome new grand-daughters today!

Can't wait to "meet" your granddaughters! Such excitement--I doubt there will be much sleep in the Chester household until they arrive.
