NEW--My Needle's Worke Box

And now.... the third, and last, of my new releases!

This little box, which measures nearly four inches, is the perfect size for holding your needlework tools. Place it on a table next to you when stitching or pack it up to take to your favorite stitching event. The verse on the box lid, My needle does my heart engage, has been used on samplers for hundreds of years.

Inside the box are a pincushion (on the lid) and four pockets which hold a needlebook, two embroidered threadwinders, and other needlework tools.

Inside view with the top removed. Also a view of the back panel.

Inside of the lid with a pincushion plus the needlebook, scissors weight, and two embroidered threadwinders.

Linen: 32-count Antique Ivory (#233), Zweigart, Inc.
Recommended linen size: 26 inches wide x 18 inches high

Stitches used: backstitch, closed herringbone, cross, cross stitch over one linen thread, four-sided, nun’s stitch, oblong cross, satin, smyrna cross, and tent stitch.

Stitching directions, charts, and very detailed assembly instructions are included.

Thread: silk threads from Crescent Colours (Belle Soie), Gloriana Threads, and Needlepoint, Inc., and DMC tatting thread (#80), Ecru. DMC substitutions for the silk threads are listed on the chart.

Box closed, showing two of the sides. Look at the "feet" on the box bottom.

These are "working" photos just to give you a glimpse of what is coming. (Thanks, Deb.) The mother of pearl ruler and scissors (Seaton) are from Kelmscott Designs.

Hopefully, we'll be finishing up the assembly instructions and the photography over the weekend so the charts can be printed and packaged next week and then sent on their way along with the two other new designs.

Thank you very much for your blog posts and comments about the new designs. They mean so much to me.
