Mrs. Waddelow's Huswif straight from California

Donna G. from Berkley, California recently sent me photos of her version of Mrs. Waddelow's Huswif.  I really like it when folks think "outside of the box" and make a design their own. Donna did just that.  She told me that she was inspired by Sharon's red huswif which I showed you on January 23, 2011.

Donna stitched her huswif on 32-count Red linen from Zweigart with three different silk threads--Silk'n Colors (Shepherd's Moon 097), Caron Waterlilies (Honeysuckle), and Dinky Dyes (Cobar 113).  Donna wrote that although her lining fabrics look pinkish in the photographs,  they are really red.

You can see more of Donna's lovely work by typing her name in the Google Search on the sidebar on the left side of this page.

Perhaps you have noticed the change in the appearance of my blog thanks to Deb who made itresemble my chart covers. I love the new look!   THANKS, Deb!  You are the greatest!
